Terms and conditions of payment
Car rental in Prague by CarLove
Payment by card
We accept Visa and Mastercard, both debit and credit. The same bank card can also be used to hold the security deposit for the duration of the rental.
If you pay for the rental and the deposit with the same card: we block the total amount (deposit + rental fee) upfront. When you return the car, we charge the rental fee and release the deposit back to your card.
Card payment is also available outside our office — every member of our team carries a portable card terminal.
Depending on your bank, releasing a blocked deposit back to your card can take up to 30 days.
Cash payment
We accept cash in Czech crowns or euros.
The deposit can also be left in cash — euros, Czech crowns or US dollars, converted at the equivalent exchange rate.
Please note: even when paying in cash, you’ll need to present a bank card issued in your own name for identity verification.
CarLove reserves the right to decline a rental if the customer cannot present a bank card issued in their own name.
For legal entities
On request, payment can be made by bank transfer to our company account, and we can issue an invoice from our Czech-registered company. We are VAT payers.

* Available as paid add-ons: our GOLD insurance (for rentals of 2 days or more) removes the deposit requirement entirely, or you can add a separate “no deposit” option — you won’t need to leave a deposit upfront, though you remain liable for damage under your insurance tier’s deductible.
