Renting a car in Prague is a beautiful experience and an excellent opportunity to explore not only the Czech Republic but also other countries like Germany, Austria, Poland, Slovakia, Italy and many others. But can you take the car out of the country for free?
With Carlove you can!
We noticed that a lot of companies in Prague will charge you extra when you go out of the country. An approximate price in some companies can vary from 10 to 40 euros per crossing the border!
How does it work with us? Just let us know where you are planning to go – and that’s it.
Also, our car rental includes tolls for the Czech Republic. But if you are going out of the country, you will have to pay for the tolls there by yourself. Otherwise you’ll get a fine from 100 to 300 euros.
Are there any restrictions on traveling to other countries with a rental car?
In Europe, there are no closed borders between countries. But sometimes there are random checks on the borders – for example, police or customs can check if you are legally in Europe by looking at your passport and visa (if you need one). Because of the huge migration right now, all the passengers have to carry their documents with them!
Also, mostly in Germany, they can randomly check the driver with an alcohol tester. Or ask you to show the trunk of a car.
Note, that everything is done just for security reasons. You, as a tourist, don’t have to worry. Important to have the documents with you – and that’s it! CARLOVE rental car Prague
