Where to Eat in Prague: 5 Restaurants and Food Spots

Food is one of the easiest ways to understand Prague beyond its monuments. This guide keeps five venues from the original article, but updates their names and removes claims that can quickly become outdated. All five were checked against their official websites in August 2026.

Menus, prices and opening times change. Check the venue’s own website before making a special trip, and ask staff about allergens or dietary requirements.

1. Kantýna

Kantýna combines a butcher’s shop with a casual restaurant at Politických vězňů 1511/5. The kitchen focuses on Czech beef and pork cooked over fire. The restaurant uses a counter-style ordering system and, according to its official information, does not accept table reservations.

2. Meat & Greet Burgerhouse

This burger restaurant at Senovážné náměstí 994/2 serves beef, chicken and vegetarian burgers alongside starters and drinks. Reservation conditions differ during lunch and by day, so check the restaurant’s website rather than relying on an old timetable.

3. Naše maso

Naše maso began as a butcher’s shop on Dlouhá and now also has a branch in Holešovická tržnice. Both locations sell Czech meat and house-made charcuterie; visitors can also order simple butcher-style dishes such as burgers, meatloaf in a bun or steak tartare.

4. Manifesto Market Anděl

Manifesto Anděl is a cashless food market with a changing mix of restaurants, bars and cultural events. It is useful for groups who want different cuisines in one place. The current vendor list and programme are published on the official Manifesto website.

5. Strahov Brewery

Near Prague Castle, Strahov Brewery combines its working brewhouse with Czech food and unfiltered, unpasteurised beer. If you plan to taste beer, do not drive afterwards - leave the rental car parked and use public transport or a taxi.
